A project done in collaboration with Journey North
Journey North scientists are tracking climate change by studying the lifecycle of living things and around the globe.
Since 2013 kindergartners have been tracking tulip growth in North Reading. We plant the tulip bulb and report when they come out of the ground in spring and how they grow. This helps scientists learn more about how the changing climate is affecting living things on earth. We join other people from across the northern hemisphere to plant plant Red Emperor tulip bulbs as part of Journey North's Test Gardens.
In fall 2019 we're setting up more test gardens along the Northshore at Cove Elementary School and Endicott College in Beverly! Will the tulip plants grow the same way?
